Does anyone have suggestions for replacing the exhaust tips on the 997S? Would chrome or polished stainless be better, and where is a good source for them? I really don't want to spend the money on an entire new exhaust system.

They are the Porsche OEM tips, option code X54. The part #'s are 997111981-20L and 997111982-20R.
Mine are in and being installed tomorrow AM.

Bad news! Don't order the tips using those part #'s. Just came from my dealer and the tips don't fit. They rub against the outside of the skirt on both sides. Back to the drawing board.
I'll let you know what I hear.

 

Thanks for the update. Keep me posted regarding what you find out. I've thought about having the existing tips polished. Usually a chroming shop can do it. I also understand that stainless tips can be chromed? If I figure out anything, I'll let you know also.
