What is needed to add an Aerokit front bumper 997.1?
Besides the bumper (obviously) what is required to make this switch? Any additional brackets or hardware or just a straight swap? Does the black polyurathane lip included in the kit (I assume it is)

Straight swap. Lip is not black though, it comes primered now so it will have to be painted whatever color you want

Oh dang. I like the black lip on the gt3. What color is the primer and what color is the product under the primer? Would it be stupid to shoot it matte black? I like the black better than painting it the color of the bumper.

Thanks!!
I did the Aero Cover conversion and I love it, it gives the car more character. My first lip was matte black, but over time, scrapes and stone chips will eat away at the paint and you'll see the original material which is light grey.
I recently replaced my black lip (after two years) with one that is painted in the car's color, Arctic Silver and it hides the stone chips much better.
I didn't put a clear bra on the lip b/c the scraping at the bottom of the lip will show the plastic bra pealing and feathering, which looks awful.
Also, if you have lowering springs, then you'll be scraping all the time vs stock or coil overs.

The bottom lip is a separate piece like the GT3 bumper right? If so, does the rubber GT3 lip fit the Aerokit?
Looks like I found the answer to my own question. Yes, the GT3 lip does fit the aerokit, but since the aerokit already includes the lip I guess I could just paint it matte black or plastidip it and have a can and sandpaper handy anytime I need some touch up. That's actually what I should do.
Not a huge fan of the matching painted lip, makes the front loot too big and bulky and less functional or racy. I know the trend has always gone towards more body colored moldings but Porsche has seemed to always have functional black trim pieces and it works with the styling of the cars.

Any lip painted and that low to the ground will show rock chips in the first weeks. At least mine did. So I wrapped it with matte black vinyl wrap. Sticks on and use a heat gun or blow dryer to warm the vinyl up so it wraps around all the corners and holes easily. Have never had to repaint or fix rock chips on it in over 3 years. If I accidentally scrape the lower edge on a drive way then you can use a razor blade to clean it up and then a black sharpie pen to hide the scuff mark... super easy and worry free as far as paint chips.
look thru my post i found my aero kit for 1300 i think it was or close to it came with everything u need including an euro plate holder just incase all i had to reuse was the center plastic from my old bumper best mod so far
i think the look u get with painted lips is worth the headache!! the scratches just look like battle scars giving the car personality and it shows that is driven not a garage queen!! one of the best mods ive done on my car!! kit comes complete
I happily added the aero kit from Suncoast last year, and everything needed to do the transformation was included. I chose to paint the bottom lip black as my rocker panels are black, and my body shop used a thick rubberized paint to reduce the likelihood of chipping. So far so good.
Here is the before:
And the after:
For maintenance, I purchased through Amazon 50' of inexpensive door edge molding that applies perfectly to the bottom of the lip.
Every month last year I would replace it with a new section, and the bottom of the original was saved from curb rash!
Love the aero kit front, and feel it gives the car a much more agressive look.
