Fabspeed intake mod..any good?
The x51 package was designed to increase power for sure, and real power , not hyped up power. Porsche knows exactly what they doing in power delivery package , of there line up cars. Cold air intakes have been around years, and plain works. Real world testing is the truth for sure. I bought my fab speed intake used, and sold it soon after the dyno test was completed. Also to note, I have work as a professional engineer in the automotive performance industry for 30+years.
I dyno'd my car with the Fabspeed HAI. Here is my results. Of course this is RWHP...well AWHP in my case with a 4S.
Best run was the third. Have not been back to dyno again with stock air box...but this is as real as it gets.
There were fans in front and in back blowing air to the car as well.
With the fans it made it a WAI ( Warm Air Intake )

Sorry for the link lack. You are dealing w a computer illiterate. Some of us still exist. Like anything else you should do what works for you. Have fun
I have it and I am very satisfied, especially downshifting from from any gear and passing a vehicle above 3500 rpms it can be very moving for sure! lol

Thanks for the information. I've been researching the IPD Plenum along with the larger throttle body and I'm seeing many do this hand-in-hand. Any reason why you didn't, and any improvement with just the IPD Plenum?
I learned with bolt-ons with my E46 M3 they never really satisfied in terms of large gains and then I went F/I with much bigger power. However, I then thought although it's nice to know I have it, I didn't really "use it" (500+ HP). But for my 997S I'd like to add a little power and enhanced sound, hence, the IPD, GT3 TB and Fabspeed's intake, and then exhaust.
I've gone back and forth on adding the turbo but for $10K I just can't see doing it again - pretty much the same as what it cost to add ESS' ASA Blower and FMIC to my M3.

That's a great plan paired with the Competition Intake! We do not have the plenum and throttle body on the site but I have no problem sourcing these for you.
Check your pm's!

For those interested in the ipd plenum, gt3 tb, and intake.
.1 , all 3 are needed and add power
.2 , just need the ipd plenum. 997.2 already has the bigger 82mm tb and better intake system.
Tune recommended after either for best results.

ive had mine for about 8 months - sounds good , loss a bit of low end torque initially until ecu adjusted , definitely pulled harder from 5k on...softronic ecu upgrade, plus intake was a nice addition
