tap power line when engine running
**EDIT** The term I was looking for is "switched power". Sorry didn't know this when I posted originally and now I can't edit the thread title.
I have installed a Blackvue dashcam and the Power Magic Pro adapter that is in the center console needs two power inputs: one that is permanently on (got that from cig lighter in passenger footwell) and a second one that is live only when the engine is on. Where can I get this second power input? Does the head unit loom have one such line I could tap into? Car is a 2007 C4s w/Tip and PCM 2.1 w/Bose. Thanks.

Not sure about the 2007, but on my 2011 C4s the head unit loom would not work because of some type of electrical feature on these cars, had to remove A-pillar and run wire all the way down to fuse box in footwell. I was wiring an escort.
Yes, there is switched power source at unit with lights & garage door opener on ceiling. I tapped switched power source to connect my radar detector.
If you search for switched power radar detector you should find posts with details and pictures.

Yes, the mirror light is switched but I need switched power specifically behind the radio head unit. I found that the cig lighter and the HU are permanently on. I might be forced to tap into the fuse box, but the Autozone Add-a-fuse seems too tall and doesn't let me close the fuse box cover.

It is not too tall, you can easily close the cover. It is also a cleanly reversible, it is 100% known to work reliably, and there's no risk of cutting a factory wiring harness wire when trying to splice in. You can see photos of it in my fusebox in my post to the thread you started over on Rennlist.
