Evo V-Flow Intake

If the Evo cold air kit provides 10-12 Hp and it only costs $600, how come everybody does not have one? I don't get it. What are the drawbacks to having such a mod. And does anyone with the mod notice a difference?

Most do the intake and the flash as a package to realize the higher hp gains. But there is a noticable different with intake only as well. Most naysayers point to MAF problems as justification for not having one, but I have yet to personally experience any issues, nor have my numerous customers.

Yeah, I like the performance data and the sounds of an intake but don't need a warranty issue on a 100k car....no thanks.

To the best of my knowledge, Porsche cannot void your warranty for adding an air intake system or an exhaust system. We have sold hundreds of the V-flow system for the 996/997 including to various different race teams. Additionally, we sell and have Porsche dealerships install these intake systems throughout the world. We spent over 6 months developing this system on our own "in house" 2005 997 R&D car. Installation takes less than 30 minutes. Power gains and satisfaction 100% guaranteed. Take care

I have the EVO intake, GIAC chip, Fabspeed headers all installed by EVO. I recently had my car in for service and the techs commented how well the car ran, in fact they said it was the fastest non S car they had driven. The Scottsdale Porsche dealer covers ALL warranty, and in fact encourages customers to check out EVO for easy performance upgrades. I can't speak for other dealerships, but the Scottsdale AZ dealer has NO issues with EVO parts.

Listed below is some recent feedback that we received from customers with our V-Flow:

---- Mr. Zuccone:
Just a short note to give a special "thank you" for your consideration regarding the upgrade for my Carrera S Tip. through Suncoast Motor Sports in Sarasota, Florida. What I notice most after the cold air induction and chip were installed is the smooth excelleration in everyday driving! Is this a result of your R & D or what?

The real thrill is that howl I get over 4,000 RPM's, I just love it!! Probably the only Carrera S Tip. with/hand control and Evo upgrade on the planet. What do you think?

Once again thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Brian - 997S

-----Todd: Thanks for the on time delivery of my B&M ssk and V-Flow. The V-Flow is better quality than OEM-nice work.
Thanks. John - 997

-----EVO- Just wanted to drop you a line and give some feedback. Bought the EVO V-Flow High Flow Induction System for my 996 and installed it tonight. The instructions were great and the install was a breeze. To think I was afraid to even change a tire. The performance and sound was as promised. Very different than stock. I will no doubt enjoy the sweet sounds you so brilliantly listed on your web site. FINALLY a company with a touch of professionalism.

Keep labeling the snot out of your items. I noticed some guy's intake on his Carrera when he had the hood up cooling it from a rigorous DE at VIR. Keep up the good work. Will be eyeing a supercharger when my warranty expires.

Regards,
Tom - 996

-----Installed your intake recently and would just like to thank you for an amazing product. I was a bit sceptical at first but now I don't know how I managed without if for so long.

Regards
Sharik - 997

Well, i recommend that you ask your local dealership first. My dealership commented that the GIAC program and intake can be used as reasons to deny warranty service. Also, they commented ton the problems that these mods may cause to the MAF.

Great feedback - I will check with my dealer and see what they say. I would love to get the intake and chip, however I don't want to get myself in a warranty situation.

A little off topic, but I actually met the guy in Todd's first feedback with the 997 Tip S. He's in a wheel chair. He has hand controls for the throttle and brake up around the wheel. From what I understand he even tracks the car. Really nice guy. That's the first time I had ever seen anything like that in a porsche. To get back on topic, he had his installed at the dealer. Hell, my dealer put my EVO supercharger in

DD,
That was not Brian, he has a 997S that is cobalt blue and already has all of the upgrades that Evo makes (including the intake) on his car.

Guess there's two 997S's with hand controls in Sarasota then. Unless that guy meant hand controls just for the shifting.

Whoops. It is him. I was looking at the 997 from San Jose that posted BEFORE Todd.
