Bore scoring--advice please
Just bought this 06 C2S with 51k miles AND A WARRANTY!

The warranty is up in October, so I thought I'd have it scoped. #1-5 were perfect. #6 has some scoring seen here:

I don't believe I have any symptoms. No smoking. Oil consumption seems in line (2 bars down on the meter in nearly 3k miles). No ticking like I've heard in known failures (video of mine is here:
). Some noticeable sooting on left tips v. right.

Is this really a "bore scoring problem"? It's just the one line of scoring. Thoughts on what I should do.

FWIW, it's engine number 00911!

Does not sound right to me. I have a 2007 C4, no sound like that, good luck!

You got a lot of good advise on Renn and have not responded. There is no easy/magic solution here. What are you going to do?
