Porsche has never made their previous model obsolete by leap-frogging them in power.

I heard the new turbo will be 460 HP and will NOT come with the ceramic brakes..
Also, It will have a base price of about 129K.
You gotta figure most of them will be coming in at 135-140k!!
the brakes will be an option like all the other line ups in their line.. 10K!!

Maybe it's about time to start looking at the Italians for the overall package!

yeah but swordsman I have owned both and would never dream of using the ferrari as a daily driver. I have always thought of the 911 turbo as the perfect all around car, especially for people who can only have one. Twin turbo, looks bad-***, reliable, all wheel-drive. Never get all those from an italian

Still sucks. It should be in the 500+ hp range. It's competitors are in that area. It already blew the "20 hp every few years" notion out of the water. Porsche has to see the landscape around it. If it comes out at 460 hp, watch the market share collapse.

if u look at the 993 turbo hp gain compare to 996 turbo u'll not be surprised if the 997 turbo hp will be lower than 500. although the turbo engine is very easy to tune for more hp but Porsche will not play the game. i predict the stock 997 turbo will be very close to 996 turbo X50 number but slightly higher. then the new power package will be above 500hp just for the selling point. guess we'll find out within 2 month.

Don' worry about it! All you have to do is chip it for instant ~100hp. Reliability should not be a problem.

well when i have one in my garage with a big smile on my face you can tell me it sucks all you want

Let's just say it only has 480hp out of the box, most exhausts will give you another 20 hp for a few grand....

new car, new technologly, twin turbo, 500hp, all wheel drive, yeah that sucks!!!

If this sucks then i want all my cars to suck like the 997 TT
