Illuminated Door Sill - buzzing sound?

Hi folks,

Had the illuminated door sills installed by the dealer per OEM instructions. I've noticed that when the car is off and the doors are opened a buzzing sound can be heard from the illuminated plate. Like there's a short or not fully connected.

Is this normal?

Thanks in advance
Wolf

Gonna second in on this. A buzzing sound is NOT OEM.

i have the same. my connector looks like its bad. if you pull the sill off, you will see exactly whats buzzing. I got electrocuted messing with it so be careful. The buzzing is because the connector isnt fully connected between the power wire and the sill. Does yours still work? Mine has been intermittent too.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I’ll take it back to the dealer to get it done right.

If it's a bad cable hopefully they will replace it! Let me know and I'll keep you posted. Thanks!
