what would be the reason for not posting the dyno plots? anybody that would be interested in this kit is going to want to see them anyway....

I'm with karlooz on that one....i would LOVE to see the dyno chart on the RUF SC kit *** Particularly the power/torque curve, it should be higher than the EVO's in theory being the centrifugal compressor is running at a higher boost / more torque/power lower in the powerband...which "could" make for a quicker set-up. Anyone in TX with an EVO kit near RUF yet !? Lets do a direct comparo**

Anybody else feel confident in 1999Porsche911's claims now that he has dissapeared from the thread once it was asked that he back up his alledged 1/4 mile time?

I do! What would be the purpose of backing it up? I would just be challenged as to the authenticity of the time slip.

dude, you already said it was posted on another forum. ok, maybe you don't want to post the time slip but what's the harm in at least pointing us to that thread? which forum?

what's the purpose of backing it up? hmmmm... credibility? i have respect for your porsche knowledge but you gotta back this claim.

I never said the timeslip was posted anywhere. And like I said, what purpose would posting a copy of the timeslip serve? How fast do you want the time slip to show? How about a 5 second ET? I can doctor the video also to show whatever I want. Now THAT would be creditable, wouldn't it?

Like I said before, I do not modify my cars anymore to impress anyone but myself. It is simply a hobby and a challenge to attempt to get more out of them than the average person can.

The purpose of posting my time was to show others what the potential quickness of the 3.4 liter is in a 99 C2. If and when I blow the engine, I'll also post that event.

so really, no one will believe you so why bother claiming your performance figures?

ya you are right i guess. anyone can doctor a timeslip but anyone can make any stae any claim they want. so bother with nonsense?

ah yes. i mispoke. your times were REPORTED on another forum. please provide us a link to the thread. i TRULY want to believe your claims.

OK, i won't harp on the threads or timeslips and i BELIEVE your performance claims. how did you get your car to be that quick then? NOS? more boost? boost cooling? doing your own ecu tuning? hey, we are all trying to get the most out of our cars, aren't we? i am not asking you to "impress" me, i am asking you to "share". i'll leave it up to you.

No NOS. More boost (controlled and variable), better cooling, intake and venting mods, no direct ECU tuning but I do modify what the ecu sees which effects fueling, timing, variocam operations and other things.

What is the point of being on a forum and talking about your car yet not providing the details as to what it actually can do? I mean, if you want people to take you seriously we need more than just your word. If it was me and obviously I was telling the truth I would be going out of my way to show all the other porsche enthusiats what a supercharged platform is capable of.

Something just isn't adding up.

I have told you what a supercharged 3.4 Porsche is capable of. Simply because I will not detail all my mods and the complete methods used to acheive my perfromance does not change a thing.

I take modding a car as a personal challenge and use my expereience to do it, learning from past mistakes and successes as well as new mistakes and successes. I do it for my own satisfaction and not to PROVE anything to anyone. (although I have been known to participate in some high $$ stake road races).

I have no intention of spelling out persicely what I do to my cars, but I have already told you, in general what I have done. Increase the air and fuel to each cylinder, cool air, reduce intake and venting restrictions, improve ignition timing, optimize valve timing, control exhaust flow, keep engine cool, etc. Exactly how to do that is up to you. If everyone new exactly what to do, and did it, the road sure would be boring. Competition would no longer exist.

ah because it is a personal challenge you are keeping it a secret. i can understand that, especially when you try to make make money off of these races. no harm in making a buck , eh?

don't lose too much sleep over it. you can decide (and i think most of us already have) if he's telling the truth.

for me, if there isn't any proof then it didn't happen. i'll just leave it at that.

I have to say, as much as I would love to know, I think that 1999Porsche911 is one of the most informed and knowledgeable people on this and other forums. If he does not want to give it up, well that is his decision.
