997.1 S ,need new exhaust

Need some help here with a new exhaust choice. Car rolled back into a tree and bumper done in, as well as one side of the exhaust. Anyways, priced out a muffler and tail pipe from porsche and I am considering going after market for both sides.
I have read some bad reviews about some after market kits, don't know if i am allowed to mention names? I am in Canada, so I will have to consider exchange rate as well as shipping. If someone could offer some names of manufactures that would have a good fit because I will be installing it. I would like everything to line up with the existing cats. Or should i replace the cats as well?
Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have a pair of designtek mufflers shipped to Canada from the UK in 4 days last year, I like the sound and it is just a bit louder than stock while not expensive. Check out design911.co.uk

I would be happy to show them to you if you come to North GTA

We make a solid suite for the 997 that would allow you to keep the cat section and run the side mufflers, or run both in unison with the factory headers. We have a handful of great dealers in Toronto, including EuroSport. They're a great crew and and often save a lot of hassle for the enduser when getting our US-based goods up to their neck of the woods as they keep stock. If you'd like an email to contact, let me know

Thumbs up will check it out

Thanks lowbee, I checked out the web site but lots to choose from. Which mufflers did you get? And yes, I would love to hear your car. We should set something up.

Josh, thanks for your input. The mufflers they have at uerosport look good as well. You are right, it would be nice to deal with someone
locally. I will check those out as well.

This is the one I've got
http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod1586/Exhaust-Muffler-Silencer-Sports-System-DesignTek-for-Porsche-997-3606009702/

the spec says max is 102 dB so this is not loud at all, stock is roughly 80-85 dB

I've had Fabspeed Headers, Mufflers, and 200 cell x-cats on my 997.1 c2s for 4 years now without any issues and the sound is great, especially at high rpm. Have e their secondary cat bypass pipes on my Cayenne turbo S too. Quality is top notch, did all the install work myself without any fitment or alignment issues.

There are some pics and sound clips in some of my recent posts here and on Rennlist.

Thanks but not interested in fabspeed. If there are problems, their customer service is not rated very well. From what I have read in my research.

I've never had a problem with them - quick shipments on items on-hand, like gaskets (and they make the best ones of these), they agreed to a lifetime guarantee on my valvetronic mufflers even though my supercharged car damaged the valves on the OEM PSE setup it came with (which is why I went looking for something better in the first place), and their quality is top notch. Just look at how well these Cayenne bypass pipes I purchased second hand cleaned up.

Alex, David, John, & Nick have Bern great. Even gave me a tour when I was in town and a souvenir t-shirt - they're top quality too

I've never read/heard anything bad about Fabspeed and I'm very happy with my set-up.

So 20 of their customers over 25 years left a bad review. Like I said, I've never heard anything bad about them and I'm very pleased with my set up.

Thanks guys for your help. Looks like I will get stock exhaust replaced. I don't waist any more time from the summer then I have too. However, I will do something with it come this winter when time is not an issue.

Lowbee, if the offer still stands to hear your car, that would be great. Maybe we could hook up sometime this summer after I get my car back.

AWE still an option!!

Cheers.
