New York City - mechanic for window problems

i Have a 2006 997. My windows are not working right. The passenger side not dip down when I close the door so it butts up on the canvas top leaving an opening every time I close the door.

Worse yet - the driver side window has a mind o it’s own. The switch does not lower or raise the window when pressed most of the time. If I’m lucky and press it numerous times it works. It does go down as needed when I open and close the door however. It also goes down when i activate to lower the convertible.

Any thoughts? Anyone know of a good mechanic in or around New York City that won’t stealership price me to fix? Ideally someone can recommend someone that comes to my house to do this work.

Thanks!

if your trying to have somebody come to your house to do this you will end up paying more than going to a dealership/reputable shop. There are 20+ porsche shops on long island, some that are sponsors of the PCA, i'd suggest you look there.

or go on the PCA metro website, its a collection of LOCAL porsche guys and shops

pay for what you get.....

Gargamel647 is an unknown quantity at this point
Autowerks in Port Chester.

Autowerks. It’s an independent owned by Chris Abele. He is pretty much the smartest technician I know and a Porsche guru. It’s about 35 minutes drive from MSG right off the 95. (914) 937-6497.
