997 over rev history

Hi

I am looking at purchasing a 997 with the following over rev history.

Range 1 1274 ignitions
Range 2 232 ignitions
Range 3 100 ignitions
Range 4 138 ignitions
Range 5 97 ignitions
Range 6 87 ignitions

The range 6 ignitions happened 600 hours ago so probably 20k miles ago. Question: If all else seemed ok would you buy the car?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks. I walked. It is a Grey 2010 997.2 Carrera being sold at a used car dealer in TN in case anyone is looking at it.

That one's been listed forever - no wonder it isn't selling.

That was a few years, ago and I don't remember the price. Probably in the mid $40s, but that is irrelevant now as 997 prices in general have exploded in the past 6-8 months. I had a ppi done on it and if I can find can send it to you. PM me your email and I will look for it. Although it may be of limited value 3+ years later.

Not sure as it was 3 years ago. If I can find the overrev report I will post the hours at which the last range 4 and 5 overrevs occured.

Thanks. I bought this car for 47k just last week and it has a clean carfax record and it was on sale as "Porsche Certified" back on October 2020 and it had underwent the 111 inspection. I bought it and did not do a pre-purchase inspection. Risk, but, it drives very well and the previous owner traded-it-in to get a Range Rover. I got this from the Jaguar and Range Rover dealer here in Atlanta.

Yes. Finding a nice 997.2 6MT is rare and that too well maintained. In fact, this car was well maintained and there is no engine damage for sure since it was listed for sale as "Porsche Certified" back in Oct 2020. I am driving it and it is very good. I have the latest service report and looks like some basic things were fixed and otherwise it is fantastic. The wheels are all blackout now, the windows are tinted and the "Carrera" logo is in black. very cool car.
