Norcal 93 Octane?

Does anyone know if there are any gas stations in Norcal (near Sacramento) that you can purcahse 93 octane gas from? I hate the 91 octane premium gas in CA. Thanks in advance......

Next time you're in Los Angeles there's a Union 76 in Brentwood that has it.

I mix 100 and 91 at about 50/50 every so often (my current tank). 25/75 will get you a little over 93, so 50/50 is likely a waste.

To tell you the truth, I don't notice a difference with the 100/91 mix. Not to say it is not adding to performance, but I'll only know if I use a stopwatch some day. Just as the others said, look for a 76 station with 100.

There's also a Union 76 at 26th and Montana. I just went by there and no 93 octane.

No problem! Let us know what you find, it's been about a year since I moved away from Westwood.

Just swung by there. They have 100 Octane for $6.39/gal! I've lived two blocks from there for five years and have filled up at that station dozens of times and I don't think I ever noticed the 100 Octane. But sure enough there's two pumps with a checkered racing flag and a big "Racing Fuel - 100".

So if you did 1gal of 100 for each 4gals of 91 you'd come out with about 93 Octane and an average price per gal of $3.59 at today's prices. Ugh, as if gas wasn't expensive enough already. Now I'm going to be over there all the time.

I'll put some in tomorrow after work and let you guys know if I can tell any performance difference in my 997S.

I am curious if you notice a difference. I am undecided (but I do it anyway!)

I did the mix of 4gals of 100 octane with about 12gals of 91 octane, which would make 93 octane. Honestly, I can't tell the difference so I would conclude that it's not worth the extra expense (about $12).
