Wait for Bilstein B16 or go for Ohlins R&T?

Hello Folks! I need some assistance on figuring which way to go with my suspension. I had to replace a rear wheel bearing and ended up replacing both. Of course, in the process I had to take most of the suspension apart and ordered rear toe links, dog bones, and control arms. I currently have PASM with eibach springs and a TPC module. I love the TPC module and it seemed like the way to go as I originally planned on getting a set of Bilstein B16 Damptronics for the car. While the eibach springs are fine, I want the car to sit lower, and the car is a weekend driver - I do not track it. I should as I just got a 4.0 rebuild done a few months ago with LN Engineering components, but it's a convertible so it wasn't something I planned to track.

Anyhow, since I have everything apart I decided to order the Bilsteins, but low and behold, they are on back order. From what I can gather they have been on back order for months and I was told that Bilstein may have them in March or April - no guarantees. So, my next thought was to go with Ohlin R&T coilovers. I had them on an e90 M3 a few years back and loved how they handled. If I go the Ohlin route then I would sell my TPC module with the accelerometer (which is a shame as I just got them in December) along with the eibachs and ditch the PASM. I'm a little bummed as I think the TPC and B16's would work well together - maybe I should put everything back together and wait indefinitely. Or, get the Ohlins and if I am not happy, sell them when the Bilstein's are in stock an start over.

Any thoughts on how the Ohlins are on these cars for street driving? I know they are a quality set up and I'm leaning in that direction, but I'm looking for some feedback. Any help would be appreciated! Has anyone used Bilsteins and Ohlins on the 997 that can share the difference between them. Here's a couple of pics of the suspension work in progress along with the new HRE F01 wheels that will be going on when I'm done.

Preserving PASM functionality, especially since you have the DSC module already and know what it can do would be my recommendation. Have you looked in the marketplace here, on Rennlist, or on eBay for a used set of the Damptronics?

I have the B16s with PASM, DSC, and a full RSS Stage 2 setup and it is sensational.

That is a gorgeous set up! I have looked and kept my eyes open for a used set, but nothing has come up so far.

So I just received my B16 Damptronic setup in December for a fantastic price from the UK!
Check out Design911
They are continuing their christmas sale and get a further 11% off the price.
After conversion and shipping you may be surprised how it will compare to local pricing.
For me (in Toronto) it was MUCH cheaper than what people are selling them locally.
And with DHL you can get it in 2 days.
Give them a call.
They were fantastic with me.

No problem.
I also have a DSC controller waiting to go in with the B16s.
While it may not be Ohlin quality I think it will give me the best of both worlds.
Plan on setting the regular DSC mode to soft for daily driving then next level for spirited driving and last level for track only.

I checked with them today and they are currently on back order . The DSC module is a great upgrade and transforms the suspension, so with the B16s I would imagine it would ride extremely well.
