It’s time to repair the broken seat switch

4-5 years ago my son somehow step on the right passenger seat switch and broke it off. I tried glue to no avail and dealer quoted $1000 to fix it. 2 weeks ago I decided to order the part to fix it myself. The first order was wrong part; I have Comfort seat and the part came was for sport. Harper Porsche was great to work with and found the correct part(#997-613-718-02-V5) and swap out the part immediately. New control ***** are needed due to the revised switch module. The part numbers are#99752163303V5, #99752163102V05. The fix was easy and took no more than 30 minutes.

Broken seat ****/switch

New revised switch

Correct part for right comfort seat

Move seat all the way back to remove from 2 screws

Move seat all the way forward to remove 2 rear screws

Tip the seat back and no need to unplug anything

Use T15 to remove screw securing switch panel

Use T15 to remove another screw for the side panel

Side panel pops out easily

Use T10 to remove 3 screws for the switch

New switch design is more robust and less likely to break

Less than $400 and 30 minutes of labor for the project
