Radio Head Unit Question(s)

I have a 2006 911 Carrera S cabrio. I had my car at an indy to fix my rear window regulators and the care came back with the radio working but the screen is not working. It lights up but shows me no display. I did not find much info on the forum so far and have a few questions:

1 / How do I know which unit i have? I see there is a MOST or Bose or PCM 2.1?

2 / Anyone know a simple fix here? I have seen there is a fuse behind the unit that could be blown, but i doubt that is my issue because the radio totally works, it is just the screen that is blank. I also have seen some folks saying it fixes itself once the battery fully charges. Maybe. Ive driven the car for like a half or so since i got it back, but no joy.

3 / Is it easy enough to just buy a pioneer or other double din unit and swap it out? Can i use the existing cables, and just plug and play and add a trim piece? I dont need much, not even Navi ( I like Waze on my phone). Rather, just a good FM radio and maybe bluetooth to my phone.

ANy help is much appreciated!

Let me preface this by saying I am not an expert...but the Bose system should be easy to spot...just look for the branding on speakers. I believe the PCM is the same regardless (could be wrong.)

I just booked an install on a new head unit and if you have the Bose setup, you will need a fiber optic adapter for the Bose amp. In many cases, it is as much or more than the head unit.

Wow. That’s a lot. No Bose logos on my speakers. Does that make it easier for me?
