Race Tire sizing Inquiry

We have a customer who wants to drop to an 18 x 8.5/11 race setup for his 997 S. The stock 235/35 19 and 295/30 19 setup has an overall diameter of about .4-.5" taller in the rear. If we go with Pilot Sport Cups in 235/40 18 and 315/30 18 the overall diameter in the rear is reduced to that of the front. Has anybody here done this and had any problems with any of the car's systems (ABS, PASM, Traction Control, etc). Would like to get an definitive answer as soon as possible. Thanks.

I kind of remember some guys swapping to 18's for the track and reporting that the handling was a bit strange. Check the forums on the other Porsche site because I remember reading it there.
