AIRBAG issue, I took car to INDIE today

Hello guys

Over this past month I upgraded my 997 wheel to a 991.2 wheel w/ the GPSADAPTER.

I installed the steering wheel myself and got a ducktail spoiler install with it.

Today I took my car to an Indie w/ Durametric Pro and PIWIS to program 3 things

1) Spoiler disable
2) Multiunction activation
3) Airbag light reset

1 & 2 were successful but 3 was not. The PIWS and durametric showed the airbag was not recognized.
I ordered the airbag rom a reputable ebay source and I don't think there's any issues w/ it being a bad airbag.
The concern I have is that the main pin connector that goes into the steering column doesn't PIN in all the way, the tab doesn't fully CLICK.

I wonder if that's the issue, I pushed in super hard and it still would not click so I'm not sure if there's something pushing against it when I removed the wheel.
My question is should I be careful w/ OVERFORCING this connector to click? will it damage anything?

The paddle shifters work, the multifunction works and the horn works... but yet the airbag isn't recognized. I figure the issue is the main connector but before opening up the airbag again I wanted to check w/ you guys to see if you can give me advise (P.S. the lights on the wheel do not light up w/ lights on either )

Thanks all. Below may not be the exact piece but the piece that I'm talking about on mine that would not click in all the way.

It's possible one of the tiny pins that goes into that connector was bent and forcing the connector in may have bent it worse. That would keep it from going in far enough to click. Someone is going to need to take that apart and figure out why the connector isn't fitting together properly, but it not going in far enough to click is likely the reason for the error you can't clear.
