Battery/Charge Warning Light Won't Go Off

For context I have always had a slow start after stopping for a short period (like for gas). 2007 4S, 6spd.

I got this light the other day while driving home and was able to make it. When I got there the batter was reading 10.9v when the car was off and 11.3 when it was on. It obviously wasn't charging properly. I replaced the voltage regulator in the alternator (and replaced the belt while I was at it). It appears that that fix worked and while I am not getting the ideal voltage with the car on (14.1-14.2 at idle) I assume I am not getting that last little bit to 14.4 because of the cable. The battery is staying charged at 12.6ish after driving for a while. The Battery/Charge warning light is staying on. Could the battery have been drained so much it is causing the error or do I actually need to replace the alternator or is it the cable? The cable 'looked good' like maybe it had been replaced by the previous owner so I didn't have it replaced.

As long as I am getting over 14 to the battery and it's staying charged, it's not a problem short term, right?

Thanks for your help!

Replaced with a rebuilt OEM alternator and the warning light went off and I am at 14.7 charging. SOLVED
