Have you dynoed after each component for specific gains? Or did you do everything at once?

Thanks

Μy friends,i had the same question with you but my bigger wondering is how many bhp can someone take from the 997s and of course for how much...so i spoke with many tuners in europe and especially in germany...manthey has a kit with 390bhp,i asked them if a 997s with the x51kit can istall their kit,so the power will go more than 400bhp.they told me they dosent offer any kit for the 997s with the x51 kit.....cargraphic seems to have the answer,i spoke also with them and they told a stock 997s with x51kit and with their kit (headers-cats-exchuast-ecu-another cams, probably more aggresive)the power will go close to 410bhp....no way to take more without sc...but their cost is amazing..around 28000euro,if a remember well.(icluded VAT,isntallation, dyno etc)...i spoke even with koro.de..they told me they will have a kit for the stock 997s at the end of semptembre probably at 4.2l and the power close to 450bhp...so...no way this moment someone to have a quicker 997s than a 997gt3....

Thanks, finally someone answered my questions.

I thought that the x51 had only external mods (exhaust and ecu). If it is indeed exhaust and ecu, then there is no need to buy the x51 kit when you have in mind already, an aftermarket route, because a non-x51 will have the same output than a x51, both modded with the same exhaust and ecu.

mate take a look what cargraphic sent to me
Power: about 412 HP at 7200 U/min
Torque: about 440 Nm at 5600 U/min

The conversion consists of :

1 x X51 Kit
4 x Camshaftset sport exchange
1 x Cargraphic X-Exhaustsystem incl. Manifoldset; Sportcatalyticset and backboxset
1 x Engine gasket set
1 x Additional water cooler kit
1 x upgrade clutch kit (pressure plate and Disc)
1 x modification inlet manifold (double-reso-flap)
1 x Dynotest with motronic upgrade and power curves
1 x Labour engine conversion including removing and installing in car

PRICE : 29.995,- EURO + 16% VAT
Working time to convert : 4 - 5 weeks

i think is quite intresting ...but the price. ...if it was 20000 euro, cargaphics would sell this kit like piece of cake and i would be the first one ..can you imagine a 997s in this power/torque and all comforts...the best all around car far away

Shawn. Doing everything at once. But I did dyno it prior, so I will know my base numbers, and be better able to predict what the drivetrain robs. My guesstimate, with the 3.8L engine like yours, supercharged, new intake, headers, racing cats and exhaust is around 500hp at the crank on 93 octane pump gas. I've seen a guy on here with a similar setup who claims 530hp at the crank. I'm not sure the differences in our systems, but I would love to be surprised on the upside. But anything in the 475-500 range will have been very worthwhile, as this system is not that expensive. - Russ

Almost €35k with vat How many SC kits could you buy with that money This is very overpriced for ~50hp, specially when you can get +100hp with less than 1/3 of the money a SC kit. If either N/A or F/I will avoid warranty, then we must do it right from the beginning.

And if you add that exhaust you mentioned earlier in the thread you could have 139 hp extra. WOW!

What is your point??? There are threads saying that the AWE system give 39hp to the 997S. No one said it before than you that it is BS, and if you go to the AWE website they claim the same gain. I know that most of the tuners saw lots of hp with their products, but once i dont have any experience with AWE and that there many members very happy with their products... But i'm with you, because it seems very strange to me too that gain from a N/A german car, specially Porsche, and when the others tuners claim "only" 20hp.

The number is over 1000 GT3s brought into the US. I don't have the article in front of me, but in either Road&Track's or Excellence's writeup on the 997 GT3 they mention how much more successful it was over the GT2 which had less than 300 made.

It has nothing to do with where the car is from or what brand it is. 39hp on a N/A exhaust upgrade is BS.....

Supersprint has dynos from the Viper: 394hp stock vs 465.5 with their system. There is +39hp of gain in that. You can check it for yourself: http://www.supersprint.com But maybe this doesn't count because it belongs to the car with truck engine category

I have no reasons to suspect from the SS dynos because there are some dynos in their website that show very small gains like 2hp and 3nm. Who will buy a exhaust system for such a small gain? Only for better sound.
I checked it again about their new system to the M3 E46 and their new headers make less power than the oem ones (euro type). No one will buy them unless if you are thinking in F/I. That is one more proof about their dynos credibility.
