Modded 997S vs 997 GT3

I've seen a guy on here with a similar setup who claims 530hp at the crank. I'm not sure the differences in our systems, but I would love to be surprised on the upside. But anything in the 475-500 range will have been very worthwhile, as this system is not that expensive. - Russ

But I've got a great installer (Stephen Kaspar at Imagine Auto) and everyone at EVO / VF / GIAC has been great, and the whole install and tune seems extremely thorough, clean, high quality and OEM-looking. My car is finished and should be back to me in a few days, and I will report back on what I'm getting and how it's running. - Russ
Car is back (see new thread for initial comments / thoughts). With headers, cats and exhaust, plus EVOMS supercharger kit, car is putting out 430rwhp, which translates to 525 at the crank per Porsche's ratings (291rwhp stock versus 355 rated indicates 18% driveline loss). But to me it's not which is better or faster, a 997S or GT3. They're both great cars, with different missions. But just imagine a 997 GT3 supercharged . . . . hmmmmmmm
what kind of dyno was it and are those corrected numbers? i would have thought an "S" model would have made more power than that, epecially with your exhaust mods. i made 425 corrected dynojet rwhp on a 3.6 liter.

even if you mod. a 997 S to the extreme, its still a 997 S and not a GT3
If he has already a 997S i would say to take the SC hype.
You will save more money with the SC route and you will dust the new GT3 in straight line on your smooth seat and listening mozart quietly.
If you care about the look, you could buy the GT3 parts and you are still saving money.
