failure to engage!?!?

I was driving the 997 and went to shift from 2nd to 3rd, not pushing it just normal driving.... car was in gear i went to let the clutch out and it only came out about half way... didn't make a grinding noise or anything.... pulled over let it sit, (even though its mechanical) and it didn't do it again.... Father took it out today and its 'bogging' down and 'hopping' now during accelerations almost like its going to stall.

The car isn't being abused what so ever and has merely 1000 miles on it.

idea's?

Times like this underscore the value of the factory warranty. Take it to your dealer asap.

Can't help with the selection problem but the other symptons resemble those associated with a vapour lock which have been reported and commented on in several 997 forums. If this is the case the solution is very simple:

1. turn engine off
2. open gas cap
3. start engine and run for few minutes
4. put gas cap back on

mm

Its going back to the dealer again this week, I drove the car today and had no problems what so ever, but better safe than sorry...

Its a damn good thing the car looks as good as it does because my father is gettin fed up pretty fast.... What used to be his stress relief is turning into his worst nightmare! It's had problems since day one and spent 3 weeks in the shop after only having it for 2 days after it was delievered...
