The installation directions posted stated that the stock airbox should be re-installed for harsh or inclement weather or warraties were void. This is impractical and constitutes a fatal defect in the product.
Replacing the catalytic converters with a bypass will gain perhaps 2 to 4 horsepower. It will trigger check engine lights and cause the car to fail emission inspection in states that require them.
Both are ill-advised modifications for power gains that are assuredly below 10 horsepower in total.

You guys are GUNG HO and I love it. There are 4 catalytic converters on each and every 996, Gt3 and 997 exhaust..........catalytic converters are designed to "scrub and quiet" and exhaust system. For Racers and GUNG HO drivers they wake the car up........and wake up the neighborhood and set-off car alarms when you are in an underground garage.
