996, GHL....they do sound good....but something is up with them, i may just give them a call....

 

No drone with AWE. Great sound AND you get more HP across the entire power band....PSE is a sound-only MOD, no performance gains.

 

How about Supersprint? No one ever mentioned anything about that.

 

Supersprint makes a great product. I think they are as good or better than Tubi. They are both made in Italy and Supersprint is cheaper. They are both straight thru designs. The only thing about supersprint is they don't polish their welds. Their welds are very clean, just not polished. After a while your exhaust gets all dirty and discolored anyway, so it's not a big deal.

 

No one talks about FVD. Any opinions on this exhaust? I have the AWE and for the money you cannot beat it. Excellent quality and good sound. Becuase it is a straight thru design it has that flatulent sound at low rpms. At high rpms it's awesome.

 

I recently installed AWE headers, catalytics & mufflers. An EVO airbox also. It retains the Porsche characteristic sound and does not drone. Solid power gain(20+ hp,demonstrated on Rennlist thread), at a total cost of $5K. Sounds fantastic at high rpms.

 

Most people that have our exhaust are not on the forums (unfortunatly for us ).

Your dealer's position of "stating" that they will install TUBI or PSE exhaust is very unresaonable. This must be given that Champion's TUBI system and the PSE offers the best profit margin or some other motivation that only they know. You JUST bought a $100,000.00 car and if you want a new system.........then demand the parts that you want and or go else where. Installing an exhaust on any 993,996, 997 is so super easy that any corner gas station cant bungle it up if they have directions.

Since you have a tiptronic DONT get race cats or any "FULL ON" system as some have mentioned and especially in a cabriolet.........because it will be way too loud unless you are very "gung-ho".

If you want to come to Fabspeed's I will personally install the Maxflo performance muffler system, headers and our Fabspeed quad tips and or whatever you would like. Dont drop $3000.00 on mufflers or a PSE system.


Fabspeed was the ONLY USA tuner that bought a 997S and developed all of our products and proved them on the street, track and dyno.
