Judging by how high the exhaust is in rear bunper, I wouldnt be surprised if it is a v8.

talked to dealers...
they're estimating that the new 997 will be out by 04-05...
and turbo is two years after that...
So It's probably that Turbo will be introduced in the Fall of 06...
and people might just get their car around 07...if no waiting list...

If I were to buy the car, it'll probably be 1-2 years after the date of release, where all malfunction has been fixed for ealier model...
08-09? hm...it gives me around 6 more years at least to enjoy my current turbo...^___^

hehehe...Time For Mod~~~~~~~~~~~

Luting at the rate of testing there is no way the Turbo 997 is 2 years after the standard 997 - you'll see it maybe 6mos after

Dealers have a lot of 996 stock. They're going to say the 997 will never make it until they clear that backlog or until the 997s are sitting on a truck behind the dealership

997 Cars

I talked to my dealer yesterday and he told me that they're not even allowed to take any deposits for the 997.

I have dealt with them a lot and I'm sure he wasn't BSing especially since they require $5000.00 deposit now instead of $500 or $1000 that they used to.

This pic is a fake!!!
the front end is from the 997 being tested (old Photos), while the rear end is from a carrera GT.
The door handle area kind of gives it away.

That sounds to me too quick for the 997 TT to be released after the normally aspirated 997, the TT usually will follow 1 to 2 years after.

Bodywise 997 is nothing but a cosmetic change they're, in essence, just upgrading the engine. Round headlights and bigger rear lights are just based on the same mold as the 996.

So it is very possible that the new 997TT would come out 6 or 7 months after the C2 cars.
