Lowering with Aero Kit?

I know it has been covered before, and I have read much about it. I would like some fresh opinions.

I love the aero kit, but I feel like the car needs to sit lower especially with the new wheels. It is not uncommon to scrape the lower spoiler at stock level.

Please provide feedback and pics of your lowering springs on an aero kit equipped car.

Dave

I lowered my last two 996's with aerokits. I say dont do it. It is already super low and you will wear out tires on the rear much faster.

What about springs that are less aggressive in drop, such as Techart?

Hey there twin! Bear in mind it's already insanely low, I dropped that idea myself after checking one out in the showroom and barely got my cellphone under it!

I have a 997S and plan on having the factory Cup Aerokit installed. At stock ride height it already scrapes if you are not very carefull. Adding the aerokit would make it even worse but still acceptable but you'd just have to be even more carefull. Lowering the ride height WITH the aerokit would make it virtually impossible to drive on a regular basis without constantly taking hits on even the slightest inclines, driveways etc.

get the techarts or an equivalent that only drops 3/4 in, and be careful in driveways, if you are really **** put a metal sheet or gaurd under the bumper.
i was driving next to a stock height carrera S this morning and couldnt believe how high it was.
my carrera S on techarts does not even look like it is dropped, but doesnt look like a 4x4 either. perfect compromise I think

I remember you're using 315-25-19 at the back. Due to the overall diameter smaller than factory. The wheels gap is larger than normal and it will looks higher. You have to be very careful with the road for lowering with aero kit. Some times you have to plan your trip before you go. Lower will looks nice but if you can't live with it, I will suggest just change the rear tires to 305-25-19.

I don't think a 305/25/19 will be any taller than the 315/25/19 that I am using now

Sorry my mistake, I mean 305-30-19

295-30-19 = 26.0in
305-30-19 = 26.2in
315-25-19 = 25.2in

It will be 1 full inch taller and much closer to OEM 19" size.
