997S horn update

Had my service tech look at the horn situation and there is definitely something wrong with one of mine. The 997 is supposed to have dual air horns just like the 996 but it's very common for the low pitch horn to go out due to moisture. So all of you guys that said that your horn sounded weak.... go get it checked out.

I recently replaced my 'bass' horn in my 2005 997S while I had the front bumper cover off. My car sounded so 'wimpish' (almost like a Vespa scooter) over the past several years due to the failure of the low frequency horn. Now it has a 'manly' toot.

Horn failure is a common issue w/ 996/997 Porsche's. Just wish you didn't have to remove the entire bumper cover to service them.

I had one of the horns replaced on my 07 Targa a few years ago. Dealer said that there was a batch of bad ones. Covered by warranty.
