I currently have a 06 c2s cab with a full techart kit. I am looking to complete the car with the techart exhaust.

I love the tips. Does anybody have this exhaust on a car. I am wondering how the exhaust sounds. Also is there any gains with this exhaust.

My other choice is running a full AWE system for about the same price. The selection for tips is limited though. Any help would be great.

 

AWE system will work with stock tips therefore it will work with Techart tips as well. we've done few 997 with Techart exhausts & doing one tomorrow. here's a video clip of the racing version:

Arling is correct on that... The Tech Art tips, although pricey, are nice...

 

Does anybody know who makes their exhaust. Are they rebranded like most of those companies like brabus, etc. Is there any horsepower gains from the exhaust. I dont know much about techart, thanks

 

I've heard it before, it sounds great.

But for the price, I'd say go for AWE or FabSpeed...

 

I think this was mentioned in an old thread a while back. Techarts exhaust's used to be made by SUPERSPRINT. They came to some issues about 3 years ago where Techart finally decided to make all there exhausts in China. According to Supersprint, Techart was unrealistic and very demanding on certain topics. The relationship with Hamman , AMG, and certain race teams that Supersprint has was a big issue which had really no rellavence to the relationship between Supersprint and Techart. An insider at Supersprint Italy told me that in the end, it was better for them to let go of Techart.

*** FYI !!! TechArt Exhaust are NOT MADE IN CHINA! I spoke with a friend of mine who works for CEC and he emailed TechArt Germany themselves to get a straight answer. (He is the TechArt brand manager of NorthAmerica) , www.cecwheels.com they are the importer / distributor of all TechArt products in North America.

They have different suppliers in Europe and Germany.
None of the exhaust systems is manufactured in China.

It is correct that they asked the for best quality products in the past and the had supersprint make their exhaust systyms but even then they had some CEL issues with the supersprint catalyc convertors, that got TechArt in alot of trouble back then for supersprint's low quality / faulty cat's. And they a recall on the 996 Turbo SuperSprint faulty cats and TechArt warranteed every single one and TechArt was very mad because SuperSprint cheaped out on the cats.


Now ALL TECHART exhaust systems are developped by TechArt on their own. They pay for the tools etc. There is no product which they just buy and put their name on it.

 

Techart exhausts are made by enco exclusive...

 

I ended up going with Fabspeed headers, exhaust and Techart Tips. Fabspeed tips just didnt cut it!

The sound is aggressive and it LOOKS GREAT!

 

AWE headers, cats and mufflers have proven performance gains. Why spend the cash if you don't get performance? AWE is the way to go IMO.
