No because unlike the 997S vs Z06 threads there was an actual race that took place and thats whats being compared rather then jsut the overall car. 997s vs Z06 threads people always talk about interior, build quality, blah blah, Cause in performance the Z06 will always win and in build quality the porsche will always win. This thread i was jsut comparing straight line speed, and i actually have somehting to go buy, like an actual race.

LOL at Cobra comments...

Even if it is a stock 03 or 04 Cobra, I will take the Cobra for a pretty close win on a roll or 1/4. If they have any mods done to the Cobra, FoGetAboutIt..

Even worse becasue it's nothing but straight line speed. The 911 was not made for drag racing.

Well the #1 post asked the question about "straight line" speed. It wouldn't be a question if it was about turns; stock to stock anyways.

Are the 911's not allowd to drive in a straight line for a certain amount of time. Do they always have to be taken turns, since thats what they were "made for"..
Anyways, most of the cars on the road are not as capable of handling like the 911, and im a man who likes to compare my car with others,as far performance, so straight line speed is the most available comparison,.

Yeah, my 03 is 3950 lbs with me and half tank of gas. The new GT500 is another couple pounds more than the 03/04. Iron block and the IRS made the 03/04's pigs..

I really want to compare mine to another one and have a legit run, 2 honks and go. What do you think the results will be, any experience?

Did you want to run a stock 03/04 Cobra or modded one?

I also own a slightly modded 03 Cobra. If you want to drag race it's the car. Of course it's still a mustang! The cobra will go around a corner much better than any other mustang. Thats not saying much though. A porsche is a surgical tool. My 03 Cobra is a F***ing sledge hammer. My currently has around 530WHP. The cars are peppy. Mine ways a little less as it has tubular suspension, aluminum bumpers and a few other bits.

I will race anyone in central Ohio if they want. I am not a great driver but the car is fast.

Where you at? I am in Chicago so most of the roads are full of salt and snow for another few months. I have a two cobras, (1 highly modded and 1 close to stock) that we could try if you are in the area.
