Question Baby Seat for 997...help.

Today I traded in my Cayman S for a 997 C2S. I will miss my cayman...it was lots of fun to drive and mod, but i couldnt resist the untamed power in the C2S. Also, it will be a car i can tote my small family around in...at least for a while. my daughter is 16 months and she has a RECARO baby seat in my wifes SUV, but it just wont fit well in the backseat of the C2S. any parents out there with small kids know of a solution/ better fitting baby/kids seat? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

RedRocket - I use a Graco Comfort Sport that works for my 22 mo. old daughter. Several people on another forum recommend the Britax Roundabout. I suggest that you go to the store with your p-car and test them out. I don't love the the security of car seats when used with seatbelts, as there would be a great deal of sway in a side impact. I don't know if the latch system works w/ car seats and p-cars. I'm curious as to your final purchase.

looks like the seats on the techquipment website appear to all be for the front seat. im not planning on putting the kiddies up there. they get the back, not sure if those seats would fit in the back as well.

ill let you know when if find something that fits good. the Recaro we bought for my wifes SUV is without a doubt one of the highest quality babyseats on the market. I scrutized them unmercifully before finally deciding on that one. But its just too wide for the back seat of the 997. I'm sure I'll find a solution somewhere...anyone else wanna chime in?

The Porsche seats are made by Britax and they are designed for front seat use. In fact, your 997 has a seat sensor that knows when to turn the airbag off for such occasions. Trying to get a baby seat in the back of a C2S esp a cab is kind of a joke. I have used the toddler and larger size seat in the front of both of my cabs. I have no idea how the infant seat fits.

I too am using a recaro, what i did is i took out the seat cushion which is attached via velcro only, so the now the recaro rests on the carpet. it works, try it out.

I got the Porsche Junior seat when I picked up my cab. The dealer told me that it can be used in the backseat. I havent installed it yet, but its for children 20-55lbs and it can either be used in the front seat with an airbag deactivation system or in the rear seat.
