Installed my full AWE exhaust today and my impressions are nothing less than the best. The fit and finish of their product is like no other. Will post pics tomorrow...................

Power Claims
AWE Claims:
+28-39 crank hp, +28-31 crank tq with full system for 997S
+11-12 crank hp, +10-11 crank tq with full system for 997
Did you pre- and post- dyno to see if they hold up? If not, what is your particular impression with:
1) torque increase - commensurate with claims?
2) sound increase - still "drivable" around town or just obnoxiously loud?
Have been toying with going with AWE, but these claims just seem too high....

I have yet to have the chance to put the car on the Dyno however the power feels real intense. I have driven other 997/s with other competitive exhuast systems and the AWE system just feels like it has crazy more power. I should be hoping to have a dyno result in a few weeks...

I have flurted with the idea of replacing my PSE for more power. Isn't the AWE mufflers somewhat quiet at idle. I don't want that. Is their a louder alternative without using bypass pipes?
VirginiA. if go to southern key west in Feb. i will come in through Miami, i will hit u up. i would really like a ride in it. i used to own a s2000 a while back. i initially had HKS Exhaust, the note was nice. then i changed it to invidia rs*r, it was so loud that if i drove for more than 30 minutes - I would get headache. i had to always keep ear plugs in the car or else i think i was gonna be deaf in a month. So i do not want to make similar mistake. the 911 is going to be one of my primary vehicle, so i want to make sure i chose my mods carefully.

I have the full AWE exhaust system and the Evo airbox. It has been on my 997S for 8000 miles. At idle, it is throatier and slightly louder than the stock system, without being obtrusive. The sound has the same characteristic note as stock parts, but louder. Under heavy throttle, it has a deep and aggressive growl. From 4500 rpm and up, it screams. Again a similar characteristic sound as stock, but considerably louder. The car has a real hard top end charge. I would buy the system again.
