The review I linked to above shows real world parity between the Lidatek and the M40 Blinder. The Blinder only edged it out in one category (500' aimed at plate). Either is a good choice.

I had the K40 calibre installed in my 2007 997 C2.

The install is really clean since its bluetooth - no wiring holes etc - and there is nothing in sight inside.

The only problem I had is that the install location on the K40 home page is not a true representation - the lights will not fit in that position since there isn't enough room behind the panel to accommodate them.

Instead, I had them installed on the piece above the steering wheel column below the instrument cluster - be careful, depending on your seating position, they may be hard to see. I had to set myself in the car and then mark my sight line locations on the piece.

The front detector won't fit behind the front bumper, so it got installed in the right opening in the spoiler.

Any chance you could post some pictures of the K40 unit in the grille and some of the leds on the column. It would be greatly appreciated to see how stealth it looks. Thanks.

I downloaded the PPT of images and looked at the front...I couldn't see anything. Were those photos before the install or is it really that stealthy?

I've got the Passport SR7 with laser shifters in front and rear. The front are installed on the right and left in the openings on the spolier. I've been happy with the install and the performance.

The powerpoint does not have the K40 install....

Here are the photos - click on each link:

Diffuser in Center - Radar Sensor on Driver Side Top Duct (no room behind bumper - the one in the rear is hidding inside the fuselage... so no photos since the only thing about it is the diffuser license plate frame)

Closeup of Front Diffuser - Drilled into Top Center Duct (I honestly don't know what or how much good this is since I do not have a front plate...)

Thanks for taking the time to take and post the pics of that, it's helpful. BTW - I like the install of the warning lights. Is there a switch that turns that unit off/on?

There is a small fob - about an inch square and quarter inch thick - does on/off volume and voice/tone options.

Its all bluetooth......

I'm just waiting to be slapped with a few "no plate" tickets before I drill through!
