Plus all the times his car f'cked up cause of his mods and had to pay to get it fixed... I think this puts his car at a comparable price range to a 997S.
Actually we are agreeing on the same thing. If you take away the cosmetic mods (which most people don't want) there really is only 8-10k in mods on this car.

His down time due to the cams is another reason why I didn't want cams on my M3. Very tricky to get the cams to line up with the VANOS. The results are also minimal..

You guys are exaggerating the differences between the two cars. I own both, stock, and my wife and I race each other often. They're not that far apart but of course the 997S always pulls ahead... just not as much as you would hope for the price difference.

really? hmmm... i was actually kind of suprised by how much i did beat my freinds stock M3's. For having only about 20 more Hp and lower redline and not that much lighter I pull away from them very clean.. And off a launch theyre history,, I got vids to prove it.

I think yemenmocha's results might vary compared to the coupe.. the cabriolet adds an extra ~150 pounds.

Agreed, My M3 has gears and a few bolt on's that add minor gains, after 100 MPH or so I pull on stock M3's a few CL's up to 130.

I ran streetswpr's 997S when he was stock, and he pulled 1-2 CL's on me up to 130 or so, does that sound about right Allen?

I ran a 997S cab on the highway and I actually pulled on him a bit.

Hey Drew, yeah thats seems about right, Your M3 is just a monster though, you pull on stock M3's like nothing and im able to pull on you a bit so im just comparing stock for stock I dont really think there close. I mean look at sevs(Mliner) car dude, He dumped all that money in his car and did whatever he could do to his car while keeping it Na and he still isnt able to pass me.. I think we need to organize a meet really soon and get some people to show up. I still want to see what will happen against Mo..
Oh Btw when we getting that track day going,, March?

Totally agree, stock for stock it's not close and as we've seen I highly doubt even with all the bolt on's & cams would be able to walk you.

I'd like to see you run Mo's M3, you gotta set that up. I think the track day is the first week of March, I'll let you know soon Bro.

To me, words don't do anything; videos like these are the ones that make the points
