I am anxious to hear more about this. Since the electronic switch will move the damper settings between only two settings, which, I assume will be full soft and full firm, it seems this will result in relatively extreme settings. If the PSS9 adjustment range is similar to the Koni dampers, it will be cushy to bone-jarring. But maybe the Bilsteins are designed to replicate the PASM damping range. I don't plan on lowering mine, but this will be interesting to see develop.

This would be so nice.

I had to have a ton of stuff done to mine at the same time as having the PSS9s installed... but I'll let everyone know what I think as soon as I get the car back. Probably in a week or so.

Hi,

Just wondering, do these pss9 work well with pasm?
I am thinking of getting these since these are the only pasm compatible coilovers (that I know)

I just had my first track event with the 997S. Although this is my first Porsche, I have been doing DE events for 5 or 6 years, with both an M3 and a ZO6. I don't mean to throw cold water on anyone's plans for a coilover suspension. But, I'll be honest, unless you are a very high level driver, the OE suspension in these cars is extremely capable. I left PSM on, and I'm not sure it engaged the entire weekend, including a couple of times when I intentionally got the car loose. It has a bit more power-on understeer in mid-corner than I would prefer, but it's easy to manage, and probably doesn't slow me down at all. If you just want the car lower, a coilover setup is one way to do it. But, if you are after better handling, I'm not sure it's worth it. I'm a middle-of-the-pack advanced group driver, and the car is better than I am.

More footprint on the front would probably sovle the mid corner push..I agree though, the OEM setup is going to be hard to beat unless your last name is Schumacher.

Best,
Sorry, maybe my post wasn't clear. My car is totally stock. My point, unless you are a very high level driver, or, need something specialized regarding handling setup, the factory suspension is more than adequate. In fact, it's better than just good. One of my goals in buying the 997S was to find something that I both enjoyed driving, and, that would require no modifications for casual track use. And that criteria got me to either the 997S or C6 ZO6. I have learned the hard way, when it comes to replacing suspensions, nothing is ever as simple and easy as it first appears. While I might not always agree with the factory's decision on suspension setup, those folks have a lot deeper pockets than mine, so I'm going to think very carefully before re-engineering any more suspensions.

I agree with you, but I have the PSS9s for PASM and they work great during hard street driving (I'm in the NC mountains... awesome roads). I have my first track day Monday with the kit and I'll let you know how it comes out....

Any updates on this? I'm considering a 997S right now and am very curious about this setup as I've had PSS9's before and loved them (but never on a PASM equipped car...)
