(Whatever that means)
nyseal,
The noise is almost definitely either the turbine hitting the rear deck lid, or hitting the frame on the absolute bottom of the blower. I cut a little piece of rubber hose and rolled it flat, jammed it in there between the blower and the frame, and it's fixed fine. It isn't visible either. I still get it rattling a bit somewhere...
As for the rest of this: I had a thread a LONG time ago about my EVO Supercharger. I bought it sometime around May or so. It didn't run right. It died. Well, we tried to fix it. Evo was awesome. And it didn't fix it. So last week (the time lapses were MY fault, not EVO's. I'm very busy) I dropped it off again for one more try. I was going to just throw in the towel, buy a GT3-RS or Turbo, and leave it the hell alone. I picked up the car yesterday, and it's awesome. After about 150 miles of hard, mountain, recreational driving, I've forgotten what it was like to blip the throttle every time I let it idle so it wouldn't die. It's incredible. I love it. Now, it might happen again, but right now I want to sleep in the garage. Todd, Mike, and EVO have been great. They run a great ship in a business that is hard to be perfect in. They are here to offer us crazies something that they work hard to perfect, and then send it out to installers who may or may not know what they are doing, but MUST still stand behind it all. In days of the internet, it could all be over with one string of unsatisfied customers. It's a hard business. My car wouldn't run because I'm in a totally different climate (NC Mountains - only non-coastal rainforest in North America) from Arizona and many of these other guys. I think Russ (MexicoBlue) is in Nashville, which isn't much different... but oh well. It's all been worth it and I'm happy. I also am well aware of how hard this certain business is and we NEED these guys. We NEED to be patient. I have been. I'm happy. They did well by me. Also, I have the carbon mirrors, and let me tell you, they rock. I love them. My favorite thing on my car (other than the SC!)

I have installed some of their products and was not to satisfied with the quality of their products. In reference to their CAI's, they look cheap. They're not selling parts for Honda's, yet I have seen nicer CAI's for Honda's.
I also upgraded to an Evo Stage 4 system for my 996tt. I had a few problems with a boost leak afterwards and the Evo boys really stepped up and worked with my local tuner to figure out where my leak was.
My MAF just blew out and i'm told that may be due to the Evo intake, but who knows. The car runs great and i've been very happy. Maybe Evo will give me a free upgrade to the GT700 for this sweet endorsement?!

I know that people think its sleazy and vendors hate it when customers go to message boards with problems, but I think the end result is a plus plus for both parties.
(1) The customer gets what he wants (so long as his claim is legitimate and reasonable).
(2) People see that the vendor responds to customer complaints completely once the problem is brought to their attention.
(3) Former customers come out the woodwork and defend or add to the customer service problems, and the end result is a better informed consumer.
Just my 2c.

I'm in total agreement. No problem with people airing their experiences, as long as it stays fact-based, and doesn't degenrate into name calling, speculation, or a pissing contest of my tuner is better than your tuner.Originally Posted by Mpowered

My intention was not to talk bad about Evoms....
I was trying to fix numerous problems....maybe was a bad idea...or I did it in a not good way...
but all I know is that I spend U$S 15.000 to have the Stage 4 and the CF mirrors here in Buenos Aires....
Thanks!

No worries CHE, they'll take care of you. They have been very good to me and all of my friends. EVO in my book is TOP NOTCH!
P.S. Thanks for fixing my MAF problem EVO

EVO is one of the most reliable performance shops I have dealt with. My experience with them in preparing my GT700 to enter, and ultimately win the 2004 Shootout at Las Vegas Motor Speedway was first rate. In addition, they provided me some "quick notice" trackside support at Firebird Raceway during a Phoenix test day at no cost. True professionals the bunch. Those of you with modified cars know the service/product challenges that come with the game. Every race and tuner shop experiences this. EVO can always count on my endorsement.
id have to agree with all of the positive comments! the EVOMS group is top notch, and i would trust them with any car... in fact today i was having an issue with my daily driver, (nissan maxima).. and Derrick (bad *** tech for EVOMS) took time out of his busy day to help me with my maxima!!! those guys are like family if you let them be with you!!! Unfortunately you only hear about customers that have bad experiences, and not the ones that have great ones!!!
Keep up the good work... especially the GT700 on monday for me EVOMS!
