Start your car when the attendant finished pumping, but before he put the cap back on?
Turn your ignition to the 'on' position (without starting it) with the gas cap off/loose?
Any of those are common triggers of a CEL. Unfortunately, it takes many cycles (I've been told it can take 30-50 start/stop cycles) for the CEL to go off if it was one of the above problems. Even if you did do one of the above, I would still play it safe and get it checked out by a dealer before you do any hardcore driving.
Do you know anyone with an OBDII reader? If it's a basic code, they should be able to read/erase it. If it is a Porsche specific code though, you'd have to bring it to a dealer to get it checked out. If you're lucky, there might be a Porsche performance shop somewhere around where you live that is open on a saturday that can read it for you and tell you what it is (they would need the Porsche diagnostic tool).

i actually did
, i put gas in, started it, rolled less than too feet and realized i forgot the cap (weed is bad
).i though it would turn off after i restarted it
, i kept pulling over (like 5 times) hoping it wont come back on
it didn't.
i believe lucent has an obd reader, ill take it there on monday.
i just wanna be on the safe side, dont get me wrong, if someone wants to run on the street (randomly), i will. i just dont wanna knowingly torture my car before i get it checked out.
are you guys gonna do this again anytime soon?
thanks for the invite btw, i appreciate it (arent i just appreciative today
