My 2nd porsche was a 1973 (I think that was the year) wide body, targa 911 with the carrera letters on the side. A great looking car. I paid 16k new. i took my father far a ride. it of course did not ride like the typical american car. He said. How much did you pay for this piece of junk. i said 10k, too embarrassed to tell the truth. He then said 'I had a 37 Ford which drove better then this piece of junk'.
Now 34 years later i am getting my 12th porsche. the only thing is that I am paying 8 times what I paid for the that 73 targa. Oh, this one is a 07 c4s targa piece of junk.

Well I'm only 50 but my 06 997S cab is my 39th Porsche, and the best handling one I ever owned.

the 71 rusted out in 5yrs, the 76 was repainted twice and went camping and was a real blast, with none of the worries of today's, less valuable and less stress! The 964 was fun and easily upgraded but seats never as comfortable and clutch seemed very heavy on long trips, in traffic. I actually went to drive a Tip when I bought my car, But with adaptive sport seats and the short shift 6 speed, I was sold from the moment I drove it!!! Just worry about it's pristine condition, which, hampers some of the fun!!
GOD, I LOVE THIS CAR!!!
