in the morning when we went it was about 60 then went all the way up to 80.. I know i could have got a 12.5. I couldnt perfect my launch. 2.1 sucks. I also have issues with my 2nd gear so i pretty much granny shift it. So all things considered i did pretty well.

any plans on going back soon? I'm sure you'll beat 12.5 at 115mph next time.

Great job..it looks like you could have left harder. The S isn't happy unless it's wheel hopping. I have seen these cut 1.7-1.8 60 ft. times. With those kind of 60 ft. times you would have been probably 12.3-12.5@114mph. A .1 reduction in 60 ft. time is .2 in the 1/4 mile. Awesome job though. I ran at Famosa in 01 in my 01 M3 and ran a 13.16 with a 2.08 60 ft. time...didn't have the heart to really rip her one...How did Drew do??

3 of my friends ran there pretty much stock M3's and they could only pull of 13.7 @ 103 best. I heard they redid the track recently and people have been getting worse times. 2 others had chiped 335's and were hitting mid to low 13's @ around 106mph.

Wow, that thing is slow for a modded 997. You should have bought a 996TT instead

Good job, looks like fun. The time is right in line with these.

So I guess given your above comments, you feel the mods done really do make the car faster.

sick run man, congrats! considering your mods prob only gave you maybe 15 hp and better yet a slightly lighter car, your car is not much different from stock and ran a good time with a poor launch. not sure i would want to launch that hard either if i were you. if you could get that 60' time down to even a 1.9, youd be running 12.3's and trapping prob closer to 115 mph. thats damn good too! were you running on street tires? throw some drag radials on and you can prob hit real real low 12s and maybe pick up some trap speed in the process.

Dont forget this was my first time at the track. My first time at the 1/4 with my Z06 I ran half a second slower then what I was able to get consistenly down the road. I guarantee couple more times down the track I will be able to get better times, that is if I want to toture my car that way, which i dont mind, we only live once. And you never know guys, I might be so good that I might be the first to break 11's with a N/A 997S,, hahah

Trap speed is more telling than times in most instances for car comparisons.

yeah it is but that can also be decieving sometimes.
we went with 2 stg 3 S4's and on the freeway they absolutely smoked me but I was getting similar times with both of them if not better, their best trap was I think only 2 mph greater then mine.
