PASM and springs....?

Hi! I want to lower my 997S who has PASM but I read that if I lower it I can have problems.........why?
I want to put Gemballa springs for PASM...thats what the guy from Geballa told me...
Who put springs in his 997 with PASM?

Thanks!

I've installed TA's on a C4 that has PASM, and it was fine. Ride was great and the car hasn't had an issue with the PASM at all. Do it, it'll be fine.

10,000 daily driven miles through rain, sleet, snow, and sun and I've yet to have a problem with my H&R springs.

Just get a guarantee from the spring company and the installer (in writing) that they will back-up their work. There have been reports of lowering springs blowing out PASM shocks - something about the oem shocks not being engineered for lower / stiffer springs. It could be installation related as well - thus my suggestion of getting both supplier and installer to back you up. The last thing you want is to drop the car and be faced with a $5k fix that Porsche will not cover.

Then again, if you are lowering, I'm guessing it's for serious track duty and so maybe you are willing to take the added mechanical risk.
