I'm not sure what the exact fix was, only that the OPC fixed it.
500, do you service ur car at the collection? Those guys are really helpfull so I am surprised that they are not fixing your problem. Shawn Huffman is the service manager, and several of the guys from the collection log on to the forum. I think the last thing a dealer wants to get is a bad rep...good luck.

. You know when you just spent $90,000.00 on a new car the last thing you want to hear is, Porsche doesn't cover it, or some do it and some don't etc etc...basically tough nuts to you Mr. Customer.
Well The Collection is quite the jog from were ur at, and champion does not really have great service. Did you speak with Danny Dimitrakis at Champion? I don't go buy what people say on the phone, and if you want to get them inspected, you don't have to say its brake noise (they might say not covered), but that they jump and sometimes fail. I don't know, just make something up to get what you want. I used to tell my girlfriend when we first hooked up I was a good listener, she has since diagnosed me with ADHD
. You catch my drift...good luck.

. I have run aggresive pads on all of my Porsches for the last 12 years. I don't remember them not squealing. It does not even bother me anymore and my wife is totally used to it. People look at me funny on the road.

My brakes squeeled when I first got my 997TT for the first 600 miles... At about 600 miles, I did a very-hard panic-stop from ~100mph to 10mph, and after that, squeel gone. I've had similar type experiences in previous sportscars with aggresive brake pads.

You asked about removing the pads. It's easy, but because of the noise dampers attached to the back of the factory pads, it takes a little time, as you have to remove the calipers to get the pads out with the dampers attached. Some folks have reported success with separating them with a putty knife or such; I couldn't do it that way. I removed the dampers and threw them away, so pad changes are quick and easy now. Plan on a couple hours. If you are going to apply some anti-squeal goop to them, I would leave off the factory noise dampers. All they do, is prevent the pad from shifting when the car changes direction, since the rotor rotation will move the pad to the opposite stop. I never hear it, but then a little squeal doesn't bother me either, so just be aware you might hear a slight noise when you begin backing out of your garage.
I'd also agree with elh0102 -- Even a little squeel can be annoying, perhaps embarassing if you are stopping in front of other people, however, I would not trade this for perfectly silent brakes that don't stop as well.
