Hey guys. I was just wondering if Fabspeed mufflers that came off a 997 C4S would fit perfectly on a 997 C2 or C2S... Do they?

I already searched on this and didn't find a definitive answer on the fabspeed website...

 

Yes .. mufflers don't differ.

Mufflers/Cats/Headers are pretty much interchangable between the cars.

I don't get it. So non-S tips will NOT fit on Fabspeed Mufflers? SO exactly which brand mufflers will non-S tips fit and NOT fit on? The outlet on muffers are a different size for non-S as compared to S tips?

What about the Porsche Tequipment non-S Chrome Exhaust tips that look just like the OEM tips but are bigger in circumference? Do these tips have the fitment to mufflers the same as the regular OEM non-S tips, or do they fit as would S tips?

My brain is befuddled on this... I don't want to buy mufflers only to find out my OEM tips don't fit...

 

The non-s tips have a different diameter than s tips. And a fabspeed C4s muffler kit will have a tube that is desinged for s tips. I think its possible to ask for a muffler that will fit a non-s tip, you'd have to ask fabspeed about that, but why not go for S tips for an extra like 50 dollars, they look much better.

OEM S-tips will fit. Any tip that is designed for a C4S or C2S will fit. i bought a pair for my car from the classifides on this board some time after i figured out my tips would not fit and the muffler was already installed on my car for pretty cheap.

 

Hmmmm....I like the OEM Porsche Tequipment Chrome tips that look like the OEM non-S tips but are a bit bigger. I think they look ALOT nicer than any S tips I have seen, except for MAYBE the TechArt tips... That is why I am trying to find a muffler that is compatible with non-S Carrera Tips...

I am pretty sure Agency Power Mufflers are compatible with non-S tips...
Does anyone know of any other mufflers that are compatible with non-S tips?

 

If you really like the tips; you could have somone fabcriate a new diameter insert.

 

I have non polished OEM S tips for sale cheap! I put PSE on.
PM me if interested, also have original mufflers & headers, which I am sure nobody wants!!
