Loosing power!
SubscribeSomething is not right with the car. It may need to go to the dealer for diagnosis. This problem most likely did not come from the modifications.
My 997S with a AWE full exhaust system & Evo airbox went from 314 rwhp to 321 rwhp(278 torque) when the GIAC reflash was done, on a Mustang dyno at AWE's facility. The car was running perfect before & after.
Just had a plenum installed & noticed better midrange & improved top end. Apparent effect greater than when having the reflash. Will have the car dynoed again sometime & post.

Are u saying that after the full exhaust and CAI at the cost of 5k you only gained 9 HP? Stock is 306.Originally Posted by MichaelL

Thanks for all the responses,today i went to lucent to have my car checked and they said everything is fine but i will try a different dyno probably next week.

so let me ask this dumb queston, my understanding was that this are proven dyno #s. if not can you not return the items since they don't do what they claim?? Excuse me for my lack of intelligence on the matter.
If you are not satisfied with them just send them back and get your money otherwise ask them to prove what they claim
Power and torque values depend on the particular dynamometer utilized, the adjustment of the instrumentation and how the car was placed on the machine and run. Figures will vary from one machine to another and depend on temperature, barometric pressure and humidity.
Crankshaft and rear wheel power are different; commonly, a loss factor of 17 percent is used for rear wheel drive cars. This means that the measured rwhp should be divided by .83 to obtain crankshaft power.
The dynamometer machinery is not all that precise, a different day with the same car can yield varying results. For example, when I had my car run up before the reflash, the rwhp read out at 340. After corrections, 314. Big difference. A 306 rwhp measurement with the .83 factor produces 378 hp at the crankshaft. The manufacturer's literature claims 355. With the 17 percent loss, this corresponds to 295 rwhp. Absolute numbers for a specific car on a particular dyno cannot be relied upon for comparison purposes to another vehicle.

without a pre mod dyno on the same machine with about the same weather conditions you arent going to have an accurate measurement of the increase or decrease in hp. if you talk to the right people or do some research you will find that dyno results frequently vary and there are several types of dyno machines. there is alot of inaccurate information about dynos on forums like this....alot! again, i would suggest talking to a reputable tuner before coming here for answers to questions like that.
You should ask Brad for your A/F ratios. I know Evosport well and am very aware of their dyno. I think they didn't have enough airflow over the intake in the back...If they are still using the same setup they did when I did my M3 there, than I feel that was a factor. If there isn't enough airflow and the car runs to hot it will pull timing.
BTW, my bone stock M3 ran 282rwhp on that dyno with nothing more than 93 octane fuel. Headers/race cats and such 302rwhp.

Dave07997s i think you are right it was a very hot day and i notice that they didn't have any ventilation in there as you mention i will ask for the A/F ratios.
