Optimlum cruse rpm

I've wondered what is the optimium cruise rpm keep the gear in when cruising. Not passing , going up hill, etc. just cruising on the highway.
I've usually keep my rpms over the many porsches I have had at about 3500-4000, thanks

I believe the book mentioned that you shouldn't let it drop below 2000. That's about the only rule I've tried to follow. A lot of it depends on where I'm driving. If I'm cruising on the interstate I'll keep it lower, but if I'm on a fun back road I'll let it stay higher...if that makes sense.

Use 6th gear on the hwy for cruising. Rpm is determined by speed. The car pulls 6th just fine. For passing you can safely drop down into 4th from any speed even close to legal in the US. Drive it, shift it, listen, smile.

You can drive 55 in 6th gear. MPG wise that would be best. Isn't it funny that in 6th gear you could go say 50mph to 180mph? A 130 mph gear range.
