What kind of discounts/MSRP/Premium would one expect on 2008s right now, for the TT, C4S and targas respectively. I saw an 08 TT macademia at my local dealer lot, but it doesn't show up any either the porsche or local inventory list on the web. Do each of these trade at MSRP, over or under?

 

I ordered a 2008 C4S Cab in June for a projected early October delivery. The dealer is giving me an 8% discount from MSRP. I wanted to purchase a 2007 but the dealer could not find a car with the color combo and the options that I wanted.

 

Lucky you. They might have wanted to prevent you from shopping around between June and October, yet 8% on a Porsche I think is remarkable.

Ok, not to be the spoiler, I got a huge 1% off my spec ordered 08 C4S coupe (Sept. 14th build date)

 

So on an '08 Targa 4s is anyone getting a discount?

 

Targa may be tighter due to low qties produced. You may give it a shot as we all seem to agree that dealers are more flexible when the car is not yet on inventory. However, my dealer said allocations in 4wd are very scarce at the moment. Capacity could be taken up by new turbo or it may be a slow down to prepare for 09 model which is likely to have electronic 4WD management as opposed to current visco-coupler as well as direct injection engine.

 

Unfortunately, very doubtful. I got my 07 T4S with zero discount and was lucky just to get it as the dealers in my area had zero allocations. I did manage to get $2k in free aftermarket add-ons but still not exactly a whole lotta cost savings.
