Yes - I would replace the hardware and gaskets. It's cheap insurance. Better to do it right the first time than have to re-do it because of a (gasket) leak later on.

Yes replace the gaskets...they are cheap. Be sure to scrap off the old gasket real good too.

No need to scrape as they are a metal gasket...mine just came off. You could probably reuse the old gaskets but for the $7.00 they cost why not put new ones on.

The bolts can be reused as well guys as they are not TTY bolts and since they are only being torqued down to the 17-24 ft/lb range there should be no issues. I reused my old bolts but I went with the new gaskets.

X51 Headers

I just did that installation the other day. It was quite easy, taking about an hour. One side did fight me a little as the new header was not quite built to print (slightly off alignment with the head bolts) but managed to get them on with the help of a pry bar to hold the alignment until I could get the bolts to take. Definitely replace all the gaskets and the head bolts. The three nuts that secure the exhaust end of the headers can easily be reused with no risk.

Not sure if I feel a difference but think I hear a slight difference. I like the design better and think the flow is better. I worked on improving the portings quite a bit. See the posting on the 997 forum in Rennlist.
