Wide body wheels for narrow car

Has someone tried fitting the wide body C4 wheels (offset 51mm) to a C2 narrow body car?

Does it fit? Pictures please?

I run a set of hollow spoke turbo twists 18x11 with a 45 offset on my narrow body for track days with with no issues.

It worked on my narrow, 51 offset turbo wheels even with 305 michelins.
maybe the camber or alignment is different on my car, but i had no problems with fitment. scroll down to the last post in this thread.

Obviously I was mistaken. Thought the general concensus was that they don't fit.

are you sure? I'm pretty certain the only widebody is the C4/C4S and turbo/gt2.

though I may be wrong again

The C2S is not a wide body, same as C2.

Thanks Raffi for the info and pictures. Do you also have som pictures showing the wheels against the body straight from the rear? Its ok for me if the wheels and body is in line, but not that the tyre walls are wider than the body.

well they fit, but they are not the offsets that porsche designed the cars with so that is why people dont use or reccomend them.
i personally like the look though.
as far as i know i have the factory alignment settings. every tire has a different side wall design so i would imagine that some might not fit in as well.

if the stock 997tt wheels fit on narrow bodies, will the aftermarket 997tt wheels fit too? I was thinking of a set of iforged. the c4 wheels have a larger lip/lower offset but with the same width as the c2 wheels. will those wheels fit on a c2?

In what way will an offset change the the drive ability and handling?

Most people change wheels all the time with different offsets without thinking of the offsets differences. What they check is that the wheels don't stand out from the body.
