need help,clutch problem maybe

hi all,i started about a month and ahalf ago, hearing what is best described as a metal creaking or bending sound coming from under the car once a week or so.it would happen only just letting the clutch out into 1st or somtimes in reverse.now its happening 7 or 8 times a day.i have an appointment to leave my car at the dealer in the morning.but i have felt and heard a clutch slipping or going bad in other cars.and this car is making none of those noises.i dont feel it slipping in 1st..so any ideas would be great.i am almost sure the dealers answer is "its ur clutch give us 2000 dollars to replace it..i would like to have some idea if there is anything else it might be,so i can tell them to check those things.thanks in advance.

It could be as simple as greasing the clutch pedal spring. I have also seen on some cars the pivot pin in the clutch pivot fork dries out and begins creaking. Greasing the pin would solve that problem.
