My dad and I hung out today.
I vowed I'd buy a Mustang someday, and maybe a Shelby product if he ever put it out again... that was in the 80's. So today, I can get an entry level Shelby GT. But alas, the daily driver is 10 years old and it's feeling it. That and a college bound kid. Sometimes life get's in the way. I envy you and your dad but I hope you NEVER have to get rid of either one. In the big scheme, it's not worth it. They are absolutely gorgeous as is so I can't wait to see what you end up doing with it!
In the meantime, I guess my "toy" will have to suffice. I can't drive it in the rain like you did so it's a bummer at times. But it is somewhat blue oval (347W 650DP BG, straight exhaust... bunch of other little goodies.)

Both of them had under 250 miles on them (shows how much we drive them!
)We just decided that we wanted to move last week.
So we're moving into a home (with tons of space for cars
) so we dropped two of the GT500's (still have the white). We'll be doing a lot of upgrades to the home and saw no point in keeping the cars when we won't have much time to drive them. No remorse because, Lord willing, we're planning to replace them with something exotic once we get settled in.
So don't feel bad about selling your car, it's a part of life. There will always be time for toys. It sounds like your toy is one helluvah ride, though. Be sure to make a thread about it!
