The C7 concept in the new Transformers movie ... I like it !!

 

i think it looks great. Those black 3 wheel, can am spyders look great also.

 

OH! is that what it was? i saw the picture earlier, but didn't know it was the C7 prototype. i was really hoping for a mid-engined vette this generation. what a let down.

 

i dont think vett will ever be mid engine....

 

Not bad looking at all. Bet the outward reaview vision is about nil.

 

Its just a design exercise, something built for the movie. C7 wont look like this. Might share some styling cues, but thats about it.

 

I like the C3 style front end, I think that style with a modern twist looks pretty cool.

 

there's been some serious consideration to moving the engine in the car to the middle, but apparently they can't justify the cost

This is what I heard as well but sooner or later they'll have to move to a mid engine to compete with other super cars.

Not really. The ZR1 just nuked every mid-engine supercar on the market. And every ricer's favorite new car, the GT-R, licked em all too. Both are front-engine cars.

I'm all for GM producing a mid-engine Corvette, but I think it should be another model (not just a trim level) and should retail for a significantly higher pricetag. Corvettes should continue with their FR layout, but a Corvette LM (or whatever they want to call it) should be produced and marketed as an upscale model.
