Due to some personal obligations I need to sell the Z With 21k miles loaded, every option available what is a good asking price ? Also, what is a good buy for around 45k that will come close to filling the loss of performance ? God I am sad I would like something with a back seat. I am trying to juggle some things around to keep the Z but ... Please, no keep the Z the comments, believe me I know.

 

Well, sorry to hear that.

On the domestic side, you could look at a new Mustang or used GTO, you may also find an SRT8 Charger for under $45K.

On the imports, you can get a used BMW M3 or 5 series. A used Audi S5 or S6 would be good cars, but I think they're above 45K.

 

You could look into E55's.

They have good power and have been steadily dropping in value lately. Good deals to be had.

 

after you take the hit on the Z and pay taxes on the new car, your net cashflow will likely stay the same. the only motivation i can see is trying to get a 4 seater. if that's the case, search the usual places. BMW 3 or 5, MB E (new model due out next year), or just get a really loud mustang

 

I found a 08 vert Shelby for 41 k loaded white with red stripes red interior. looks like it may be the one.

 

If you need and back seat, and want some nice LSx power, get a new G8 GXP.

 

Please drive it first, I drove one. Felt like a tank.

 

The GXP has good power ? Have you driven one ? That may be a possibility. Can you mod them inexpensively ?

 

The GXP isn't out quite yet, very soon though. 415 hp. Should run high 12's. And fit four in comfort.

I have driven a buddies G8 GT, 361 hp and with just a tune it ran a 13.1. Not bad for a 4000 pound sedan.

The GXP will have a Corvette based LS3, so it is easily modded.

 

Yea, the G8 or GXP would be good options, they've been getting good reviews and they actually sit 4 people.

 

Just do a Cad CTSV, 6spd with the ls6 or you could go newer. Easy to mod and they drive great..
